Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
I know this has been asked before and in both situations it was closed as "Won't Fix". But that was in 2011 and 2013.
We are in 2015, now. Markdown support is ubiquitous on the web. It's everywhere. It's even the default markup language used by Stash.
I also know that there are Confluence plugins to add Markdown support, but currently in the market place, only one of those plugins is compatible with the Cloud hosted Confluence:
And this plugin has a major drawback, it requires read access to the Confluence content as it sends it to their servers to be processed.
So, with all that said, can we please have an official markdown support on Confluence Cloud?
Thanks
