👋 Hi - I’m a Divya Sriram, a Product Manager that works on the editor team. Thanks a lot for your feedback. As we continue to improve the editing experience, it's important to understand use cases like this. This feature is not in our short-term roadmap, but we will work to see if it makes sense if to move this feature into our future roadmaps.

With the new editing experience, which provides markdown on the fly (https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/keyboard-shortcuts-markdown-and-autocomplete-724764956.html#KeyboardShortcuts,Markdown,andAutocomplete-Markdown), it's not possible to edit back in Markdown since the text is auto-converted.
It'd be nice to have a plain text markdown editor or to have the ability to edit in full markdown.
