We've investigated this issue and determined the problem is caused by unsupported copy & paste formats that are seen in some Microsoft Office tools.
Please follow this new Feature Request so we can track customer interest in this matter to inform roadmap prioritisation: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-77928
Actions:
- Open Word document.
- Copy/paste text from Word doc into Confluence page.
- Copy/paste image from Word doc into Confluence page.
Expected:
Text and images copied into the page, images stored as attachments.
Actual:
Text copied into the page.
IE 8 - No option to paste images.
Firefox 7 - Image doesn't copy or paste on Mac, works perfectly on Win7.
Safari 5.1 - Image copies and appears in the edit window, then appears as a broken link when saved.
Chrome - Text is copied, images not.
Update:
The issue can be reproduced on all recent version of browser.
