Problem Definition
When tasks are marked as complete or reverted back to incomplete, there is no immediately accessible method of determining who performed the action and when. And while one can see when a user creates a new task outright, converting an existing comment into a task and reverting a task back into a comment is similarly untracked.
- This can cause confusion when attempting to discern how a task was modified, and is especially important when the corresponding "No incomplete tasks" merge check has been enabled.
Suggested Solution
An informational record documenting the creation/update/deletion of tasks would be added to the timeline on the Pull Request overview page, allowing users to easily discern when a task has been created, updated or deleted along with which user performed the action. Ex:
Workaround
The only available method to find this information is for an administrator to review the audit/access logs.
However, it's important to note that non-admin users are denied from being able to find this information on their own, and it also can be very tedious for an admin to tease out the answer from the logs in particularly busy instances with many log entries.
