Issue Summary
When using double quotes to perform advanced searches in Confluence Cloud, the search does not conduct an exact match for the text. As a result, the expected exact match does not consistently appear as the top search result, which contradicts typical search behavior expectations.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to Confluence Cloud.
- Access the search bar and initiate an advanced search.
- Input a search query enclosed in double quotes (e.g., `"specific phrase"`).
- Observe the order and relevance of the search results returned.
Expected Results
The search should prioritize and display exact matches of the text enclosed in double quotes as the top results.
Actual Results
Exact matches of the text within double quotes do not consistently appear at the top of the search results, leading to confusion and inefficiency in locating specific content.
Workaround
No known workaround at this time.
Notes
This issue affects the reliability of search functionality within Confluence Cloud, potentially impacting user productivity and content discoverability. Affected users expect exact phrase searches to yield precise and prioritized results as per typical search engine behavior.
