      Issue Summary

When uploading attachments on newly created pages (either using the UI, or via REST API), the attachments are not indexed.

So when searching for the attachment name, Confluence doesn't find it.

If we edit the page, it gets re-indexed, and then Confluence is able to search the file when searching for it.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1) Create a new Page

      2) Upload a file as attachment

      3) Search Confluence for the file name

      4) Edit the file

      5) Redo the step 3 search.

      Expected Results

      File gets indexed once uploaded

      Actual Results

      File is not indexed

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available

[AI-218] Attachments are not getting indexed for new pages

The issue can be reproduced on existing pages (created months ago):

            • When the attachment is created using REST API.
            • When the file is uploaded on the Attachments page.

Andrey Khaneev [StiltSoft] added a comment - The issue can be reproduced on existing pages (created months ago): When the attachment is created using REST API. When the file is uploaded on the Attachments page.
