Issue Summary
When using the quick search bar (on the top right) from a Jira Issue view screen, if you paste an image on it (even when focused), the image will be attached to Jira ticket.
Steps to Reproduce
- Copy an image to your clipboard
- Click on the quick search (to focus it)
- Paste the content with the image
Expected Results
- Since the quick search doesn't use images, the pasting would be ignored, avoiding unwanted attachments to be added in the ticket.
- Whenever focusing on the quick search, we don't expect changes to happen on the ticket.
Actual Results
- Images can be accidentally pasted on tickets, in a very "quiet" way, which can be unnoticed, Jira also does not confirm if you want to add that attachment or not, it just gets uploaded right away.

As I can no longer reproduce this behaviour, and if the watchers of this issue agree, I believe this ticket can be closed. I will wait a week before doing so in case anyone thinks it should be kept open, Thanks!
I cannot reproduce the issue as described in this ticket. We had a similar but different problem, but we were unable to reproduce it on demand at all. It just hit the surface couple of times in the past.
May I confirm if watchers of this issue are still able to reproduce this bug? I have followed the steps helpfully provided in the original post, but I'm not seeing the pasted image added to the issue. Thank you!
Given this ticket was reopened, we've reevaluated and are unable to reproduce the issue as specified in the description.
I'm going to close this ticket. Please provide revised steps or new evidence, or file an independent ticket if sufficiently different, should the issue persist.
