    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem Definition

Currently, it is not possible to blacklist specific email addresses in a Service Desk project to prevent specific emails addresses from being sent customer notifications.

It can be a problem when Service Desk issues are created automatically by email by a monitoring system, and then the monitoring system gets spammed with notifications coming from the Service Desk issue.

Disabling all the customer notifications within the project is one way to workaround the situation, but it does not apply in the case where we want to add participants to these Service Desk issues and we want them to receive notifications (but not the monitoring system).

      Suggested Solution

Allow allows to blacklist specific email addresses for outgoing mail:

      • either for the whole JIRA instance via the page ⚙ > System > Outgoing Mail
      • or for a specific Service Desk
