Issue Summary
Multiple customers have reported issues authenticating via SSO in the Trello desktop app. This is happening in both the Mac and Windows versions, and at least three distinct (Azure, Shibboleth, Okta) Identity Providers are experiencing the same problem.
Steps to Reproduce
- Being using SSO to login
- Attempt to authenticate through IdP
Expected Results
Expect the desktop app to pass DeviceID parameter in authentication Token
Actual Results
Trello desktop app is unable to pass the DeviceID details to the authentication token, so the CA policy filter is not met and blocks authentication. This results in being stuck on the pictured authentication step:
Workaround
Currently, the workaround is to use the web client
