Issue Summary
Trello macOS Desktop App hangs during Google sign-in when Passkey / WebAuthn authentication is required
Steps to Reproduce
- Open the Trello macOS desktop app.
- Click Sign in with Google.
- Select or enter a Google Workspace account that enforces Passkey authentication.
- Google displays the challenge screen: "Verifying it's you… Complete sign-in using your passkey."
Expected Results
The desktop app should invoke the native macOS WebAuthn / Touch ID platform prompt or display a cross-device QR code interface (or delegate the authentication session to the default system browser).
Actual Results
The embedded Electron window begins the WebAuthn challenge but never exposes the macOS Touch ID / passkey interface or QR code. The authentication window remains stuck on "Verifying it's you…" indefinitely.
Workaround
- Access Trello using password
- If permitted by the Google Workspace administrator, click "Try another way" on the Google challenge screen to authenticate using an alternative method
