      each time I start Sourcetree, I have a popup asking me to install the LFS Adapter. This popup shows once foreach of my repo. And even if I check the "Don't ask me again", it keeps showing each time I restart Sourcetree. This is REALLY annoying and very error-prone.

            Yep. Me too. For reference, the issue is for people like me who are not using the embedded git and do not want to. My system git install has lfs set up correctly and it actually works fine. The only issue is that sourcetree does not take note that im not even using the embedded git install much less the embedded lfs ext when deciding to show this popup.
