Cannot view external diff across different branches

      Win10

      • select commits from different branches
      • try to open an external diff for any file

      expected: external diff opened
      actual: the menu is grayed

      Works ok on mac. Worked previously on Windows (not sure but remember using it).

      Off-topic: guys, what the hell's going on with Windows version? It's getting worse.
