When I stage files the windowd does not get updated

When I stage or unstage a file, the screen does not get updated. The only way to see if the files are actually staged, is by pressing 'F5' so the view completely refreshes.

Previously the screen updated the view automatically (as I would have expected it to do), so this is something what worked which is now broken.
