Main Sourcetree window doesn't update automatically

The last couple versions seem to have broken something. I noticed it around the same time as the fix for populating the branch name when pushing a local branch to origin. The behavior is when I perform an operation like checking out a different branch by double-clicking, the UI never updates to show the new branch checked out. Or if there is a change I need to pull from origin and I click 'Pull' the UI doesn't update to show that the branch is up-to-date. I've tried the following:

• I uninstalled, deleted <login>\AppData\Local\Atlassian, reinstalled, re-added my repo and still get the same behavior
• It has to do with one local repo in particular. I've added other local repos, even clones of the same repo, and they seem to work fine. The repo is pretty large. I closed Sourcetree, tried a git clean -xfd, reloaded Sourcetree and the problem persists.

The version is 3.3.7 but the dropdown below isn't allowing it.
