Severity 3 - Minor
Description
In the Welcome wizard, during step 3: Atlassian account, I clicked on "Use an existing account" where I can either use Google authentication or type my email. I entered my email directly (which is a gmail address) but received the error message "Please enter an email address" whether I press Enter or click on Continue.
Using the Google authentication solved my issue, and is most likely the intended method for Gmail users. However, it would be more user friendly to either show a dedicated error message such as "Please use Google authentication for Gmail accounts" or better, to redirect the user to Google authentication when a Gmail address is detected. Finally, some users may actually want to input their Atlassian password and not their Google password, in which case we should let them use the email method although they have a Gmail address.
I don't know if non Gmail users had the same issue with the email method. Please comment.
I mark the bug severity as minor because there is an alternative in this case, but if the bug also occurs for non Gmail users, then they are stuck in the install wizard.
