File status and history sidebar entry clicking is unpredictable

When opening a repository window, the sidebar item "File status" is selected and highlighted in blue. Selecting another item, such as "History" removes the blue highlighting from "File status", but leaves its text white, and does not mark "History" in any way.

Something similar happens in the file lists ("Unstaged files" and "Staged files"): the item selected automatically is highlighted with a gray background, but selecting another item displays the differences in the diff window, but does not mark the file in any way. It is thus almost impossible to tell which file is being compared in the diff window.
