Description
This is a holding issue to collate feedback for 1.9 specifically around re-introducing the split pane between staged and unstaged changes.
The argument is that when the file list becomes long, it becomes more difficult to quickly see whether there's anything unstaged because it can be pushed to the bottom, and there's no fixed visual 'anchor' between the two states because of the dynamic flow-based positioning of the dividing line in 1.9.
