Issue Summary
Currently, there is no visibility into Atlassian AI usage events within Jira and Confluence Cloud. When org/site admins perform actions using AI features—such as generating content, enhancing writing, or using AI-assisted bulk operations—these events are not logged as discrete entries in the audit log or surfaced in analytics tools. This lack of logging and reporting makes it impossible for administrators to monitor, audit, or analyze the usage of Atlassian Intelligence features across their environment.
Steps to Reproduce
- Log in as an org/site admin to a Jira or Confluence Cloud instance with Atlassian Intelligence enabled.
- Perform the following actions:
- In Confluence:
- Create a new page using AI-generated content.
- Use “Enhance writing” or similar AI features on an existing page.
- In Jira:
- Create a new issue using AI-generated content.
- Use bulk create or bulk update with AI assistance.
- Use Rovo to review or generate content in either product.
- In Confluence:
- Check the audit log for any entries under “AI-generated actions.”
- No special permissions beyond site/org admin are required.
Expected Results
AI usage events (such as prompts or AI-assisted actions) are logged and can be surfaced through analytics or audit logs for monitoring and reporting.
Actual Results
AI actions are not recorded as discrete events in the audit log, and detailed visibility into AI usage events is not available.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
