Issue Summary
Currently, it appears that both admins and users are not able to access global or site Confluence templates from Rovo chat.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a global or site template
- Ask Rovo to show you the contents of the template (note that you can't use it to create something new or it will pretend like it can see the template but sometimes it just uses another page that looks like a template and it doesn't look like the actual template I created).
Expected results:
Would like to be able to view and use the site template with Rovo Chat. I don't want the users to be able to modify the template.
Actual results:
Rovo states that the user cannot access the templates, even though I'm logged on as an admin.
This is the response to a template called "Fruit Headings Template" I created to test the functionality.
"I was unable to directly retrieve the specific contents of the global template titled “Fruit Headings Template” from available sources. Confluence documentation explains how to view or edit global templates, but it does not provide the actual content of individual templates unless you have admin access to your Confluence instance.
To view the contents of the “Fruit Headings Template” global template, you (or a Confluence admin) can follow these steps:
- Go to your Confluence Cloud instance.
- Click the wheel icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner to open Confluence administration.
- In the left-hand navigation, find Settings.
- Select Configuration > Global templates and blueprints.
- Find “Fruit Headings Template” in the Global content templates table and select the edit icon (✏️).
This will display the full contents of the template, including any headings, variables, placeholder text, or labels.
If you need the actual text or structure of the “Fruit Headings Template” and you do not have admin access, you may need to request it from your Confluence administrator."
