User Problem
When the "search code" tool is provided to a Rovo Agent, the agent is able to search and read code in the UI using the user's permissions.
However, when using this agent in Slack, the "thinking" box > "working with tools" section shows results like "Searching for code related to "..."" but the robot states insufficient permissions to access the code "Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any code for a service called [...] in the code repositories I have access to." This is because Rovo's messages in channels use a dedicated Rovo agent permission, rather than the messaging user's permissions.
Suggested Solutions
Allow the Slack Rovo Agent to use the search code skill using the user's permissions in Slack channels, just like in the Rovo UI
Current Workarounds
You can direct message the Rovo slack user to use Rovo with your user permissions in private slack messages.
Update the Rovo slack account to have permissions to access your code bases.
