User Problem
Notification policies can delay/suppress notifications to users, but cannot delay/suppress notifications being sent to outbound integrations like Slack, MS teams, Jira, JSM, etc.
Suggested Solutions
Ability to delay Slack / MS Teams notifications (or any outbound integration) through a Notification Policy. This would meet several use cases such as removing notifications for chat integrations, delay/suppress creation of Jira/JSM issues during certain days and times, etc.
Current Workarounds
Under the New Policies, add a team Alert Policy to the team receiving these alerts. Configure the policy to remove / strip the responders from the alert:
It might even be advantageous for this Alert Policy to add a tag for reporting purposes as well:
This removes the Responder team from the alert - which avoids notifications from being sent to the responders, and outgoing integrations. It also leaves the Owner team on the alert:
Keeping the Owner team on the alert allows for this team's Notification Policies to apply to alert - which can also delay / suppress notifications, or auto-close alerts:
