Hey all, I have been waiting for this feature as long as I can remember however I may have come up with a stop gap at least.
If you are managing OpsGenie and have access to Jira (there is a fee version), setup a project in Jira, doesn't matter the name. Go to the apps and sign up for the OpsGenie integration and the Google Chat integration, both are free. Then setup the Jira integration within Opsgenie connecting your queue/team to the Jira project you created. There are some basic workflow options to configure but it's fairly simple stuff. Now in Google Chat setup the Jira bot in a chat space and configure it to monitor the Jira project for activity.
I've done this and again it's not great but now I get notifications from OpsGenie in Google Chat. You can get status, and updates fairly simply and if you use threading it's all organized. This is using the Google Chat Cards feature and it would be fantastic if you could manipulate status or use the assignee features between the integrations but that doesn't appear to work.
Hopefully someone else will benefit from this in some way. Thanks
