User Problem

You can have components with the same name in Statuspage if they are on separate component groups. However, if you are using the tag method to update the status from Opsgenie, there isn't a way to target a specific component on a group. I

The customer's use-case is monitoring different components in different cities:
Group 1 :

• City1

• City2

Group 2 :

• City1

• City2

The Group 1 and Group 2 are component groups and the cities are the components in this case.

Suggested Solutions

May be we can add tags mentioning the groups name, which will make sure that it updates the right component. 

Current Workarounds

As long as the names of the components are unique, we are updating them.

Alternatively, format the tags as cmpid_[component id]:[status] where [component id] is the id of the component to have a status change. e.g. cmpid_componentId1:degraded_performance
