Issue Summary

Customer would like the ability to add users to a Team as a member without allowing them the global Browse users and groups permission

This is because, as Opsgenie has transitioned into JSM, Opsgenie Team members are now Atlassian Team members and them having BUP allows them to see other JSM users as well which the customer would like to avoid.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a Team in JSM.
2. Add a user (with no Browse Users Permission) as member of the Team.

Expected Results

User should be added to the Team where they are only able to see and interact with other Team members.

Actual Results

There is an error thrown:

“We can’t add User. They may not have access to teams in your organization.”

which is only resolved when the user is given the global Browse User Permissions but then the user is able to find other JSM users which the customer does not want.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
