Issue Summary

When an alert is created, it goes to the policy flow and notification/alert policies are being applied accordingly. After that, followed by the creation of another alert with the same alias but a higher priority this time, although the priority is updated and the policies were applied, the alert policies do not apply as expected.

Expected Results

We expect the alert policies to be applied.

Actual Results

Alert policies do not apply for the deduplicated alerts.

Steps to Reproduce

• Create an alert that will fall under an alert/notification policy.
• Deduplicate it by creating another one using the same alias.
• You'll see the policy is being executed in the first alert, but not for the second alert that's got deduplicated.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
