As a user, I would like to have the ability to import on-call schedules directly from an Excel file into Opsgenie to streamline and simplify the process of managing complex, recurring, and non-standard rotations.

      User Problem

Users with complex on-call schedules, such as having different personnel assigned to shifts based on time zones or specific hours of the day, need a more efficient way to manage these schedules. The current manual process of setting up and managing these rotations in Opsgenie can be time-consuming and prone to errors. Additionally, if the rotation needs adjustments, users have to manually override the schedules, which adds to the workload.

      Suggested Solutions

Introduce a feature in Opsgenie that allows users to import on-call schedules directly from an Excel file or a similar format. This feature would enable users to upload a pre-configured Excel file containing all the necessary schedule details (e.g., dates, times, personnel) and automatically populate the on-call schedule in Opsgenie. The system could validate the Excel file to ensure correct formatting and data before applying the changes.
