Summary:

Gitlab have made changes to their default branch name from master to main (more info here).

It would be great to have this also match the OEC repository to align with the changes as leaving the default config gives the following error:

Could not read configuration: couldn't find remote ref "refs/heads/master"

Current Workarounds

Update the config for default branch name from main to master.
