Hello all,
We are currently in progress of consolidating the JSM incident object with the Opsgenie capabilities. In addition, we are about to ship the ability to turn on Incident Management in non ITSM projects. This should solve the ask of this ticket.

Summary
In the current setup, you can link JSM incident tickets to an Opsgenie alert only if the incident ticket is created in an ITSM project.
Feature Requested
The customers have pre-existing projects which are of non-ITSM type. It will be a difficult task to create a new ITSM project and migrate all the tickets and data from the old project to the new ITSM project to avail this feature.
Hence, they need functionality to link JSM tickets from a non-ITSM JSM project to the Opsgenie alert.
