Issue Summary

• Even after logging in to Opsgenie via the Personal Profile to enable DND override for the app (as per https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Opsgenie-questions/Do-not-disturb-override-option-missing-Android/qaq-p/1553087), the Opsgenie app on the work profile is unable to override DND 
• Environment:
  • Android 13 
  • Both users reporting at this time are using Samsung S22 - not sure if this is the same for other Android devices 

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install Opsgenie on both Personal + Work Profile 
2. Log in on Personal Profile and enable DND bypass for Opsgenie 
3. Log in to Work profile and test 
4. DND is not bypassed by Opsgenie app 

Expected Results

Opsgenie notifications to be able to bypass DND mode 

Actual Results

App notifications do not come through when phone is on DND

Workaround

Not sure at this point.

Hello,

We have reproduced this issue and saw that the workaround previously mentioned (installing the app in both the Personal and the Work profile) does not work. This workaround has not been an official fix for this issue.

Google Developer Docs states that: “Managed profiles cannot grant Do Not Disturb access”. In this context, “Managed profiles” refer to the Work profile.
This workaround that has previously worked in Android 12 and below has been patched, and it does not work anymore on Android 13 and above.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any further assistance with this issue, as this is a decision made by Google about the usage of the Work profile, and we have no control over how the Work profile works and what permissions it can block out for any of our apps.

If Google chooses to provide a fix for this, we are happy to implement it for all of our users. But, as it stands now, we are unable to assist further with this issue.
