Issue Summary

The "play notification max volume" & "persistent notification" on the latest Android App will only keep the notification sounds for 20 seconds and switch the phone into Silent mode instead of the original state.

According to this documentation, without further adjustment, the maximum length of the notification sounds should be 60 seconds, and after it's finished, the app should revert the mode of the phone back to the original state, not to the Silent mode.

Steps to Reproduce

There are many occurrences on this thread and also a support request, we can also replicate this issue on our end.
This issue happens across multiple brands of Android devices.

1. (Optional)On your Android App, please set up a custom ringtone for New Alert.
2. On your Android App, please enable “Play notification max volume” & “Persistent notification”.
3. On your Opsgenie Web UI, configure your Notification Rules of the New Alert rule to generate a Mobile push immediately.
4. Switch your phone to “Vibrate” mode.
5. On your Opsgenie Web UI, create an alert and assign it to yourself as a Responder.
6. When the notification comes in, do not Ack or Close the alert and let it ring.

Expected Results

1. The Android App should switch your Android device from Vibrate mode to Sound mode when the alert comes in.
2. The sound of the alert notification on your Android device should last for 60 seconds.
3. After 60 seconds, the notification should go off, and switch your phone from Sound mode back to Vibrate mode.

Actual Results

1. The sound of the alert notification on your Android device only lasts for circa 20 seconds.
2. After 20 seconds, the notification goes off, but the Android app switches your phone from Sound mode back to Silent mode.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
