Installing Add-ons Directly from Marketplace Does not Work

XMLWordPrintable

    • Severity 3 - Minor

      Summary

When trying to access the Marketplace Site and start a Free Trial for an add-on in Cloud, it will not allow the user to have it installed once redirected to the instance again.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Go to https://marketplace.atlassian.com
      2. Search for an add-on to be installed
      3. Click on Free Trial and it will redirect the user to the instance
      4. The add-on installation process will keep spinning and no results will be retrieved

      Expected Results

The add-on installation should give a popup for the user start using it

      Actual Results

      The installation process keeps spinning.

The below exception is thrown on the console::

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'subscriptionAnnual' of undefined
      at q.getPricingDescription (com.atlassian.upm.atlassian-universal-plugin-manager-plugin:upm-js-libraries.js:1397)

      Workaround

(If there is no workaround directly say so)

Instead of going directly to https://marketplace.atlassian.com the user should access the Manage Add-ons page inside the Confluence Administration. Specifically, the Install new Add-ons option (https://example.atlassian.net/wiki/plugins/servlet/upm/marketplace)
