Issue Summary
- After doing a production data copy to sandbox, apps that are eligible to be added on sandbox site cannot be added as it throws an error "We ran into a little trouble
- If there was any migration-related activity on a production site
Steps to Reproduce
Step 1 : Copy production data to sandbox
Step 2 : Install the app that is currently on production site to sandbox using "Add to sandbox" option
Expected Results
App to be installed
Actual Results
The app fails to install with the error "We ran into a little trouble"
Workaround
- Go to Apps → Explore more apps
- Use the "Search for apps" bar to find the app you want to install
- In the app Overview, scroll down the Resources section
- Get the link available in the Get the descriptor file (copy link address)
- Go to Manage apps
- Go to the Settings to Enable private listings and Enable development mode
- See Enable development mode in your site for more details
- After refreshing the page, click on Upload app and insert the copied link into the app descriptor URL bar
- Upload
- (optional) Disable development mode
