After some analysis we've found that this issue has been duplicated by the issue at MIG-1990: Issues are sometimes rendered as plain text instead of a link after migration. This is a current and verified bug in our Migrations project, Please watch that issue for further updates and more detailed workarounds.
Issue Summary
After migration, it has been noticed that the link in the description that takes you directly to the relevant ticket when clicked is missing and has been replaced with plain text as shown in the attached screenshot. This issue also occurs with JSM projects.
Server:
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes) / (no)
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a Jira issue on the server
- Include a link to a related issue from the same project in the description
- Migrate the project to cloud site using JCMA.
- The link in the description has been replaced with plain text after the migration
Expected Results
The links should be retained after the migration.
Actual Results
The links get replaced with plain text, and no error is reported in the logs.
Workaround
Manually edit the description and add a space or enter after the issue. Then save the description, and the links will automatically be added.
