Now, that we have this FR: Business boards show sub-tasks released.
It would be great if the new business boards could show sub-tasks in the "Assigned to me" filter if the parent task is assigned to another user.

      Workaround:

      • Navigate to the list view or the issues view > Click on the "Assigned to me" filter.
      • All the issues (including sub-tasks) assigned to the user will show up.

[JWMCLOUD-322] Business boards show sub-tasks in the "Assigned to me" filter.

The missing feature complicates the work in Jira. The solution has already been perfectly summarized by bf42a8bebb74.

It would be great if you can fix this.

That's an example of how bugs are simply logged as suggestions!

The description of this ticket starts with the words, "Now, that we have this FR: Business boards show sub-tasks released." As I just mentioned in that ticket, I don't find a way to show sub-tasks directly in a Board. Please provide clarity, why the issue JWMCLOUD-17 is marked as closed, when the functionality is not usable. I assume that the same cause is behind this ticket. Thanks.

This is a pretty critical omission, please fix as soon as you can.

To keep the board in it's current UI (showing subtasks as a dropdown under its parent instead of individual cards) this feature could work like this: When you select any filter in the board view, it would filter the regular issues like it currently does but also the subtasks and open the subtask dropdown automatically. If the filter returns no regular issues but would return subtasks, the regular issue could be grayed out or otherwise visually indicated that it isn't part of the filtered results.

There also should be a way to show and hide all subtasks in the board view, this could be implemented to the feature described above,

I want to echo all comments stated. Not being able to view sub-tasked assigned to the various team members is super annoying in our weekly planning meetings. We use sub-tasks assigned to various people quite often to break the tasks down and these risk being missed by not showing them in Board View.

Please please can this be fixed. Jira software has this ability in Kanban view which was amazing. Software projects were just too much for what my team needed for business projects.

I have a need to keep the majority of my work tracked in one project (because I don't have ability to create new  ones). Not being able to see sub-tasks on a board is frustrating for users that want to manage their work that way but are only assigned to sub-tasks.

Not be able to assign sub-tasks to multiple users makes JWM boards a bit worthless. JWM projects are streamlined for a reason but why have the sub-task layer if you limit the ability to view them under assignee filters. This potentially leads to missed tasks and confusing boards. We shouldn't have to create custom boards just to see the subtasks we are assigned to.

My guess is this was just missed as part of the initial sub-task on JWM board requests/suggestions.

            Please address this!

The only solution we've found is to create a custom board that spans across both software and business project types. You have to map statuses to columns every time you add one in Jira business, but it's the only solution we've found.

Same here, we are usually assigning task to certain people and they would assign sub task to members of other teams or other members of the same team.

Hiding this sub tasks when filtering for the current user on the board (or for any user in fact) already lead to some sub-task not being prioritized correctly by the assigned people since they didn't show up in their board.
