In a board with issues (Stories) which contain sub-tasks we can see and filter those that are assigned to any of the team members. In our case it's a Scrum (active Sprint) board and we have the issues grouped by sub-task.

We don't have an option to only show sub-tasks without the story nesting.

Thanks for your input 813ce28fd7f7 and the sample video. Say for example that I only have Sub-Tasks assigned to me and I filter with "Assigned to me", I don't see any issues at all and get the impression that I have nothing left to do. There must be an option somewhere, that I can visualise the Sub-Tasks without them being nested within a Task, right?

I'm missing this feature too, but this task is Closed. Am I to understand that no implementation will be forthcoming? That would be a great shame, because we really need this feature.

It is almost incomprehensible to me that the board view doesn't support viewing sub-tasks in any sensible way.

It is the best view for quickly assessing the state of your overall portfolio of work, but it just doesn't show half of my team's work because the top-level task is owned by someone else.

You will also need to make sure you have the subtasks field visible on the board, you can enable this on the top right of the board under More -> Customize cards -> Subtasks - I will ask our content team to update the docs to include this

Harry we use the 'Group By' filter on the board - select Sub task... its not ideal because it moves issues that have sub tasks to their own section at the top but at least you get visibility.

We use Jira Cloud and I am not able to see how to allow sub-tasks to appear on a board. I can't find any documentation either. Can you provide a link please?

I can see there are a few comments around how we have decided to implement subtasks, I think the best thing to do here would be to raise a new suggestion in this project
