      Problem Definition

      Currently, business board have a limit of 1000 issues. The boards will display the first 1000 issues added to it, so newly created issues are not displayed.

      Suggested Solution

      Increase the limit of issues that can be displayed in Business Boards.

      Why this is important

      Users that have a lot of issues in a project can still use Jira Core boards. Better Management for Core teams.

      Workaround

      Create a Jira Software Project, since Software boards allow 5000 issues, and bulk move all the tickets to the new project.

      There's no workaround on the Business Board.

            Just to confirm, the max limit of issues shown in the JWM board is 3K, which doesn't include the sub-tasks issues, right?

            The board issue limit has been raised to 3000 issues. Please let us know if you notice any problems.

            1000 limit is ridiculous in 2023, this ticket should be highest priority , instead not even assigned to anyone!!!! Atlassian wake up

            Any updates to this ticket? Any workarounds on the business board? This is incredibly frustrating as we have a few projects started on the business board and will be hitting the limit within the year. It will be a nightmare to reconfigure everything back to Software project and retrain our PMs.

            We were planning to move from Asana and start using Jira Workmanagement but this limitation of 1K tickets boards have forced us to continue with Asana. Jira have to seriously look after such small technical requests on priority and not loose business.

            +1 We also facing the same issue. We have more than 1K issues and need to be able to work with them.

            +1 - Our Board is useless since we reached the 1000. There is no workaround because we don't have Software Projects!

            +1 - Please can you get to this ... I would assume this limit is for performance but surely for the display of more than 1000 issues, for the board view it only needs the summary, status and few extra fields as bare minimum and those can be lazy loaded? Thank you

            Nothing is more disheartening than seeing a product-breaking bug be in 'gathering interest' for 5 years. 

            If someone raised an issue with me that broke the functionality of the product, I'd be fired it was in 'gathering interest' for a week.
