As a Project Manager, I'd like to plan sprints by component much like I do for epics, so that I can better manage sprints for a multifunctional team

I need to be able to plan sprints with a multifunctional team and group stories by components within my sprints. Having an easy way to group and filter by component would be very helpful.

Managing the backlog by component is a must!

+1 Would be really nice to have Components on the Backlog board support in the same way as Versions and Epics.

Alternatively, enable the dropdown options as we have in the "Search for issues" view. And/or the advanced mode. Having this would make it very powerful as it eliminates the need to constantly toggle between searching issue and the Backlog.

+1 would make it whole lot easier to manage, now we either have to misuse epics or manually create too many quick filters that clutters everything

It's a shame such a useful feature isn't being evaluated with urgency.

i would like to filter on bases of  new component or themes=new label. This filter is definitely a must when you work with leSS teams and have a big complex software.

+1. 7 years and counting... I would really like this as well.

Voting for this as well especially from a product management level to see what tickets with specific components have been created, where they land within sprint planning/backlog, and if any stories need to be moved around for better continuity with releases.

+1 from me as well. Components would be really useful as an extra way to filter issues easily on the backlog.
