As a manager I would like to filter by user on the Scrum Rapid Board in planning mode

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      I need the ability to see issues in the Backlog on a per user basis when doing the sprint planning with a Scrum Rapid Board. Having a quick filter where I can type the name of the user is a solution that would work.

      The developers (users) on the project are very specialized, and most of the issues are pre-assigned outside of the sprint planning.

      This will allow me to address all the issues assigned to a given developer at once, rather than jumping from developer to developer during the planning meeting.

            If you move to Jira 6.2+ You'll be able to do it using the Agile Board Filter plugin

            I agree with the last comment - we have multiple teams which are managed by a label parameter and instead of having a filter for each team it would be nice to have a single filter on this property.

            When implementing this, please generalize to allow selection by any field (not just assignee). For example, by component or label. While there is an easy workaround in that individual filters can be created, this quickly becomes difficult to manage.

            Because there is an easy work around we haven't addressed this yet. We would like to look at it but it's not prioritized.

            Actually, it looks to me like this is the same issue as GHS-4279. I'm surprised this hasn't been implemented yet.

            I am pre-planning a sprint using the Scrum Rapidboard right now, and I need to see the workload I am committing to each developer as I move the issues above the sprint marker. I guess this is a different issue and that I should open a Jira against it.

            Hi Martin, this is something we'd like to add in the future but for you might like to just define a quick filter for each assignee in the Rapid Board configuration.
