Issue Summary
Creating an issue from the plan view does not save the changes on other required fields such as summary and epic name.
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new Select List custom field.
- Associate the Select List custom field to the create issue screen.
- Go to the Field Configuration and set Select List to required.
- Go to the Plan view and create the issue inside the plan.
- Click 'review changes' and proceed with the 'save selected changes in Jira'.
- You get prompted a pop-up box to fill in the required field:
- Change the Summary to "any summary"
- Change the Epic Name to "any epic name"
- Update the Select List field value to "any value" and save the changes.
- Open the issue screen and notice Summary and Epic Name still shows the same value without any changes:
Expected Results
Users should allow changing the issue summary and epic name when they modify the value in the pop-up box.
Actual Results
Issue summary and epic name value remain the same even though Jira allow users to change the value in the pop-up box.
Workaround
Open the newly created issue from the plan and edit the necessary field value.
Notes
The workaround was recommended in JPOSERVER-2794 and seems to be not saving the changes on other required fields.
