As a multi-disciplinary engineering group, we have always longed for a tool to both plan and execute from. Portfolio addresses many of the needs we and others have in this realm, but lacks features relevant for any type of work that requires delays (including external non-agile teams, ordering, shipping, lead times...).

It's currently near impossible to make portfolio truly work for this because it is missing a time delay feature for dependencies, or mixed fixed time & SP plans. Workarounds such as creating delay teams for specific tasks at set SP velocities quickly become far too complex to handle. 

If you would like to gain a huge customer base within hardware & mixed development groups ADD TIME DELAY DEPENDENCIES!

Alternatively, allow fixed time items within SP Portfolio. 

Examples:

JIRA-123 blocks JIRA-124 with 2 week delay

JIRA-124 is blocked by JIRA-123  +2 weeks
