Description
Issue Summary
Customers who recently migrated from Cloud to DC are affected by the issue that was previously present only in Jira Cloud. Users having ‘ug’ in their user keys can’t be assigned to the board admin role. As customers have an option to create either backup for Cloud or Server, I believe the generated data should be compatible with chosen instance type, and now the data we got from Cloud is not working for us.
This is reproducible on Data Center: yes
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a user. Make sure it has user key in the format ug:xxxx
- Create a backup of server
- Restore a backup to Jira Software Server
- Create a Software project
- Got to the agile board of the project from the previous step and elect ‘Configure’
- Try to assign the user from step 1. to the board admin role
Expected Results
The user is assigned to the role
Actual Results
Error “Ug” is not a valid user’ is displayed
Workaround
We decided to use the fix from Cloud and implement in Server, but it fixes only visual side of the problem, and we don’t know yet what other issues may be caused by this “ug” in user keys.
