Summary
By default a user will see Kanban board's column names in his/her user profile language. However, after Kanban backlog is enabled, the columns will be displayed in the user profile language of the board creator at the time when the board was created.
Steps to reproduce
- Set system language to French
- As a user with English profile language, create a new Kanban board for a new Kanban project
- This board will have 4 columns: BACKLOG, SELECTED FOR DEVELOPMENT, IN PROGRESS, DONE
- Log in as a user with German profile language and view the board
- The columns are displayed as: BACKLOG, ZUR ENTWICKLUNG AUSGEWÄHLT, WIRD AUSGEFÜHRT, FERTIG

- The columns are displayed as: BACKLOG, ZUR ENTWICKLUNG AUSGEWÄHLT, WIRD AUSGEFÜHRT, FERTIG
- Configure the board and enable Kanban backlog
Expected behavior
The user with German profile language should still see the other columns in German (BACKLOG is now moved to Kanban backlog).
Actual behavior
The user with German profile language now sees the columns in English ![]()
Notes
- All user profile languages are affected
- Disabling Kanban backlog doesn't revert the translations
- Even if the board creator changes user profile language to a different one e.g. Dutch, the columns are still displayed in English for all users
Workaround
None at the moment. The ticket will be updated in case one is available.
