Nothing happens when clicking Link Bitbucket Cloud or Github account

      Hi everyone,

      The current issue affects two Jira versions - 7.8.1 and 7.9.1.

      The 7.9.0 version got the patched version of the affected plug-in (4.3.1) wheres 7.9.1 got the older version of the affected plug-in, which contains a bug.

      Therefore 7.9.1 is also affected by the bug.

       

      We plan to release 7.9.2 version soon and 7.10.0 later, where the case is resolved.
      Until then we recommend applying the suggested workaround on the affected Jira instances.

       

      Earlier versions, such as 7.6.x, 7.7.x are not affected by the issue.
      Versions 7.8.2 and above are also safe to upgrade.

      Summary

      DVCS accounts - Link account button not working

      Environment

      • Chrome
      • Mozilla Firefox

      Steps to Reproduce

      Go to DVCS page in Jira and Click Link Bitbucket Cloud or Github account

      Expected Results

      A dialog box will appear to add a new account.

      Actual Results

      Nothing is happening when Link Bitbucket Cloud or Github account is clicked.

      Workaround

      1. Stop JIRA
      2. Remove the JIRA_HOME/plugin/installed-plugins/jira-dvcs-connector-plugin-4.3.0.jar file
      3. Download and move jira-dvcs-connector-plugin-4.2.1.jar into that directory
      4. Start JIRA

      Notes:

      • The following will be shown if JIRA is upgraded to 7.8.1 that has an existing DVCS Accounts.
      • JIRA log will shows the following logging and fixed the error message after followed the workaround:
