Description
When generating a version report within JIRA Agile 6.7.2 (and at least 6.7.12), within environments with large datasets, the version report chart does not correctly estimate completion dates. In this case all three of those dates (optimistic, normal, and pessimistic) estimates can end up being listed on the same day. Furthermore, these dates seem to be cutoff on the far right, instead of reaching the y-axis
It seems that the algorithm which prepares the series of data for predictions on chart does not take into account that there might be non-working days.
Workaround:
- Click "Board" in top right corner
- Click "Configure" in drop-down menu
- Navigate to "Working Days" in the menu on the left
- Select all days as working.
- Navigate back to report
With work-around enabled, now report shows proper dates for predictions.
This happens because predictions was made with non-working dates taken into account, but algorithm which generates series for chart does not take non-working days into account so it finishes chart earlier.
