    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

Our organization uses JIRA as a cross-functional task management tool and as a result, some project delivery teams have a coordinated release cadence whereas others are on their own schedules. The coordinated release teams would like to streamline the usage and filter results of fix versions, but we often find they get "creative" with fix version naming (even when it's an option in the dropdown already since the field can be free-form text).

-Is there a way to make the Fixed Version field a single-select dropdown with administrator-set selections in the drop-down?

-Is there a way to apply this change ONLY to some teams and not for others in JIRA? E.g. is there a way to use a Project Category field.

-Is there any anticipated impact of this change on filters/dashboard capabilities?

      Thanks!
