Not trying to hijack Guy's thread but we are seeing the same thing and wanted to provide additional information.

JIRA Version 7.0.0-OD-06-002. Build: 70102

Steps to reproduce:
1. Log in to JIRA
2. Select any Agile -> Kanban board
3. Notice board does not display

Error in console (Chrome Dev Tool):
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'getSelectedNavigationItem' of undefined

Thanks for raising this issue. Are you able to provide us the steps to reproduce the Java Script Error? Also, what the version of JIRA and JIRA Agile?

Not sure if it's related, but we are also seeing Gadget Errors on our Dashboards, even for single-project boards.

The message is

"This gadget cannot be displayed on your dashboard. This could be due to a licensing problem or an application error. If you need this gadget, contact your administrator for assistance. Otherwise, you can remove it from your dashboard."
