At the moment, users cannot view project details unless they have permission to view the project via the Browse Project permissions.
| Browse projects | This permission allows people to view the project in the Projects directory, and view individual issues in the project and while searching Jira (except issues that have been restricted via issue-level security). |
With this in mind, users without the above permissions on a project are not able to:
- View said project.
- Access said project.
- View any details of the project (even high-level details).
In some cases, organizations would like to have the list of projects (and some high level details of the project) in the instance available for all users.
Proposed Solution:
- Create separate project permission (from Browse Project) that allows the high-level details of the project such as project name, title, Project Description, Project administrator and Lead visible to all users.
