    Description

      Summary

At the moment, when the automation executions are used up to the limit, the global/multi-project automation rules are throttled with the following message:

You've reached your monthly rule execution limit. Upgrade your plan to increase your limit.

      Suggestion

      1) It would be helpful to include additional details regarding the automation usage limit breach in the notification email such as the rule which caused the throttle and if only global/multi-project rules will stop executing, links to documentation related to automation limits, etc.

      2) Ability to configure notifications to Jira admins when automation usage crosses some threshold (Example: 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%). This would help admins to modify the global/multi-project rules which have a large number of executions.

      3) Once the automation rules are throttled, admins have to either upgrade the plan to premium or wait till the end of the month. Upgrading to Jira Premium is a business
decision that takes time and hence it might not be possible to upgrade immediately. Additionally, it would help if admins are provided with the option to buy extra executions in the form of automation credits in order to run business-critical rules.
