Issue Summary
If the Epic link field is required then this value cannot be set for Story issues while being created in the Plan.
Steps to Reproduce
- Add a Field Required Validator in the create the transition of your Workflow for a Story issue type and publish
- Create a Story in your Plan under an Epic or while setting the Parent field
Expected Results
The Epic link value is already provided thus the validation should pass and the issue should be created.
Actual Results
The validation fails and the issue cannot be created as if there is no Epic link value provided when Advanced Roadmap is supposed to do this automatically when creating a Story under an Epic.
Presumably, this is happening because the workflow validator can't distinguish between the Parent link and Epic link fields.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available. The Story will have to be created in JIRA and not in your Plan.
