    Description

      Summary:

Most web browsers have a CTRL + Click command that will open the link you are clicking on in a new tab. That works properly on some links in JIRA, but not all.

      Repro:

      Create a Jira task.  Save.

In the comments, add a comment and paste in a link to another Jira task/bug/etc.

Jira does it's auto-parsing of the link and displays the task/bug/etc title and Jira #.

      Save comment.

Now navigate away, from that new Jira task.

Now come back to that Jira task.

      Bug:

CTRL + Click on the link to the linked task/bug/etc with the intention to open it in a new tab. What actually happens is the current tab navigates away from where you were, to that linked item.

      Expected:

Since I used the CTRL + Click command, it should be opened in a new tab, as that's the default behavior for web browsers.

Other links within Jira work properly with the CTRL + Click, but not the linked items on a Jira card.

I haven't tried this on Mac, whose equivalent would be COMMAND + Click.
